The Government of Nepal revised all climbing permit fees effective September 1, 2025. Spring commands the highest rates due to demand. Winter and Summer expeditions receive significant reductions to support off-season access. All fees are per person in USD.

Essential Documentation

In addition to the permit royalty, all expeditions must appoint a government Liaison Officer and pay a refundable garbage deposit. From September 2025, a licensed guide is mandatory for every two climbers on peaks above 8,000m. For Trekking Peaks, applications are handled directly by the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA).
